Asian Cinevision is proud to announce its finalists for the 2004-2005 ABC Talent Development Scholarship Grant Program:

Eric Lin for FISH KILL
Osato Dixon for EVEN IF I TOLD YOU

The submissions were reviewed by a panel of three diverse judges:
Anne del Castillo has worked in the independent media arts and public television for over ten years prior to joining P.O.V. as Manager of Research and Development in 2002; Producer/Director Lee Skaife has spent the past 8 years working in on-air promotions and public service announcements at National Basketball Association Entertainment; Roger Woo is co-founder and Creative Director of Woo Art International, the New York based creative services, multi-media design and production firm.

Eric Lin’s FISH KILL is a dramatic short film that follows the journey of two brothers who are forced to confront the distance between them when their van breaks down in the middle of nowhere while delivering a body to the coroner’s office in Fish Kill, NY. Eric is currently finishing his studies at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts graduate film program.

In contrast, Osato Dixon’s EVEN IF I TOLD YOU is an autobiographical short film that tells the story of an African American boy dealing with being black but not having black skin because of his albinism. Osato is a writer/director finishing his communications studies at Northwestern University.

Congratulations to the winners, and good luck in the final rounds with ABC.
