Asian CineVision (ACV) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit media arts organization devoted to the development, promotion, preservation and exhibition of Asian and Asian American film and video. Since 1978, ACV has produced the Asian American International Film Festival (AAIFF), the nation’s first showcase for the best in independent Asian and Asian American cinema. The AAIFF was instrumental in the careers of such filmmakers as Ang Lee, Mira Nair, and Marilou Diaz-Abbaya, and introduced US audiences to the works of film legends Jackie Chan and Wong Kar-Wai. ACV is committed to the use of film for social change.
