‘Tis the Season for Asian American Cinema

Dear supporters,

It has been a tremendous year for ACV! Here’s what we’ve been up to:

    • AAIFF’12 screened over 50 films in 8 days–over 30 hours of Asian and Asian American cinema!
    • Opening Night Gala at Asia Society, featuring sold out New York Premiere of SHANGHAI CALLING directed by Daniel Hsia
    • Presented super producer Janet Yang with the 2012 Asian American Media Award
    • World Premiere of $UPERCAPITALIST packs the house
    • New York Premiere of AAIFF Alum Michael Kang’s KNOTS–now distributed as 4 WEDDING PLANNERS
    • Redesigned and relaunched our website to bring you more access to the latest news on independent cinema and current events
    • Rebooted our historic cinema journal CineVue which features news, interviews, updates, and original content from artists and filmmakers

This incredible year of work was made possible by the contributions of supporters like you–thank you.

With your donation, we can do so much more in 2013:

    • a Spring series of screenings, panels, and events in NYC, building community and creativity year-round;
    • expanding CineVue online with archives, profiles, and news on AAPI art. Pitch your project to Judy Lei and Ellen Sea at cinevue@asiancinevision.org;
    • a vibrant, inspiring line-up for our 36th AAIFF, playing in New York July 24-Aug 3, 2013-save the date!

But, we need your support to make this happen! Please consider a fully tax-deductible, year-end gift. Even $10 or $20 makes a big difference.

For over 35 years, we have been committed to sharing Asian American stories. Check out our video on our past work:
